Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. He relocated into Casper, Wyoming with his family at the age of 13. He was raised by his father who was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district of Casper.
