Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy), American actress. Amy Lou Adams is famous for her naive roles that are engaging and relatable. Adams was the daughter of a U.S. Army officer in Italy and was raised within Castle Rock Colorado. The mid-1990s saw her begin dancing and performing professionally at the Boulder Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Later, in Minnesota in a small local theatre she was selected to play a role in the mock documentary about beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous. She moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles after making her debut as the snarky but good-natured contestant. The husband of her Tony Curtis was her partner between June 1950 and September 1992. Her children included, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer and signed a contract to work for MGM in the late 1940s. The decade following she was in a variety of well-known films like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
